Welcome to HelloVC. These terms cover what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. By using the site, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
HelloVC.in (“HelloVC”, “we”, “us”) is an India-operated platform offering free educational content, free founder tools, a public deck library, an investor directory, and paid services for early-stage founders.
2. What HelloVC is — and isn’t
HelloVC is:
- An information and tooling platform for founders
- A workspace where you can save your work and share it
- A directory of publicly available investor information
HelloVC is NOT:
- A registered investment advisor or broker. Nothing on the site is investment advice, financial advice, or legal advice. Our valuation calculator is a directional estimate, not a binding valuation.
- A guarantee of investor introductions. Even if you opt in to scouting, we make no promise that any investor will see your profile or take a meeting.
- A fundraising agent. We do not negotiate, place, or close deals on your behalf.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information. Misrepresentation (fake company, fabricated traction, etc.) is grounds for termination.
- You can close your account at any time by emailing us.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, copy, or republish our deck library, investor directory, or other content without written permission
- Use the platform to spam, harass, or impersonate anyone
- Upload anything illegal, defamatory, or that infringes someone else’s rights
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, abuse coupon codes, or break authentication
- Reverse-engineer the site or its APIs
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
5. Intellectual property
Our content (articles, design, code, calculators) belongs to HelloVC. You may read, share links, and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish in bulk.
Your content (your profile, your saved tool runs, anything you upload) belongs to you. You grant HelloVC a limited license to host, display, and process it for the purpose of operating the service. We will not sell or republish it.
Pitch decks in our library are publicly shared by their founders. We display them with credit. If a deck is yours and you’d like it removed, email us and we’ll take it down within 7 days.
6. Free and paid plans
- Free: tools (valuation, cap table), deck library (with paywalled later slides on some decks), VC Atlas, playbook articles, founder profile, public sharing.
- Paid services: pitch deck design, mentor sessions, custom investor lists, and other one-off services. Pricing and scope are listed on the relevant page at the time of purchase.
- Pro subscription (if and when launched): the page will spell out exactly what you get and the cost. We’ll never auto-charge you for something you didn’t opt into.
7. Payments
Paid services are processed by Razorpay. We accept UPI, cards (domestic + international), netbanking, and other methods Razorpay supports. Prices are in INR (₹) by default with equivalent USD shown for international visitors.

8. Third-party content
Our investor directory and deck library include information about third parties (VCs, family offices, founders) sourced from publicly available information. We make a best-effort attempt at accuracy but make no representations about completeness or correctness. If you spot something wrong, email us.
9. Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we’re not responsible for the outcomes of your fundraising, hiring, business decisions, or anything else you do with information from the site.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid HelloVC in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
Either of us can end this agreement at any time. If we suspend your account for breach of these terms, we’ll attempt to give you notice and a chance to remedy where reasonable.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
12. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date will reflect any change. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
