Ditto raised a $9.2M seed for "the first AI Social Agent — start with dating." 12 slides, monolithic cover, wedge-first positioning. Below: why this deck commanded one of the highest seed rounds in the YC F25 batch.
Why this deck works
12 slides. $9.2M raised. The deck is built around one bold framing: "The first AI Social Agent — start with dating." That single line does positioning, wedge, and roadmap in eight words.
What works
The cover is monolithic — *Ditto* in white on indigo, no subtitle, no logo lockup. That confidence is itself a signal. By slide 1 the wedge ("start with dating") is already named, which means the rest of the deck doesn't have to relitigate the category — it can spend its budget on traction and team.
Three things to steal
- Pick a wedge, not a category. "AI Social Agent" is the category. "Start with dating" is the wedge. VCs fund wedges with category-sized upside.
- Make the cover unforgettable. No tagline, no logo lockup — just Ditto. In a Monday-morning batch of 30 decks, the simple ones get remembered.
- State the second product on slide 1. "Start with dating" implies more is coming. That's a $9M-sized story, not a $2M-sized one.
